Classes all over the school are all but empty today. Apparently there is a boycott of the schools and local businesses being held today. I hadn't heard about it until this morning. Weird that classes that are usually packed are mostly empty today. Anyway, the students who are here are doing great.

Have any of the students been subject to deportation yet or had ICE knocking on their door?

How would I know?

Well, as a teacher I thought you would be curious if all of a sudden a student stops showing up at school. Sorry, I was wrong.
You are wrong, and you are a shitbag. :dunno:
You're dumb, too. How much time do you have to receive insults today?

It's ok, there is just no way I could know. Kids are absent all the time.

Kids are not being deported, dumbass. Every flight I have seen is filled with military age male criminals.
Kids and parents are deported, moron. Trump gave ICE the right to pull kids from school and churches.

Read a newspaper.

I hate to be unkind, but if the students are protesting the enforcement of U.S. immigration laws, they should all be deported, along with their irresponsible parents.

Our parents' generations would be stunned to see this shit. Politicians outraged at the prospect of legitimate laws being enforced. It turns my stomach.

...

Neither you nor I know the immigration status of all the people protesting. I'm pretty sure most of the students who were not in school just heard about it and saw an opportunity to skip a day.
