I have appreciated the guy's music since I was 3...and that was 49 years ago.
I'm a keyboardist myself. While I don't consider him a direct influence to my style, I still like to plink on some Elton now and then.

I liked him better when he was flaky and hip, with his outlandish outfits....before he started trying to look like Liberace. Nevertheless, I have enjoyed releases of his all througout the decades.

I always foudn it interesting that he said his greatest regret was becoming addicted to drugs.

Elton was grossly overweight and I'm sure he stopped touring to concentrate on his health.

I used to listen to him when I was in H.S.

I joined the Navy in 74' and he was my favorite performer.

Then my buddies told me he was gay.

I was shocked.

I never would have guessed.

Then I looked back and some of his costumes put Liberace to shame.
