Elon isn't scared of Trump. And that's a good thing. Trump isn't the king of the USA.

It's two dope head fighting, there is no reason here, only juvenile insanity. This seems sorta goofy. Don't know what the play is here.....he could simply agree to not rescue any NASA astronauts. Wonder if he had plans to go to the moon himself

Two narcissists fighting over their egos, the country be damned!Elon isn't scared of Trump. And that's a good thing. Trump isn't the king of the USA.
Elon Musk says SpaceX will decommission Dragon spacecraft after Trump threat
Elon Musk said SpaceX will begin decommissioning its Dragon spacecraft “immediately” because of threats by President Donald Trump to cancel government contracts with Musk’s businesses.
Can MAGA be convinced privatization isn’t always the answer?Good. Maybe NASA will now go back to developing its own space craft and not leave it to private enterprise. I have always been suspect of Musk’s loyalty to the US.
That is really wishful thinking and probably too much to ask.Can MAGA be convinced privatization isn’t always the answer?

The free market will not produce something that costs billions to trillions without a guaranteed return in sight. The free market has always been better at solving problems, than the government.

Take care Trump doesn't invoke the Defense Production Act and confiscate it all.Elon isn't scared of Trump. And that's a good thing. Trump isn't the king of the USA.

I have no problem with private enterprise involved in the Space industry. I think that is a very good thing. The free market has always been better at solving problems, than the government.
That’s why Trump’s attack on Harvard is so dangerous. Who’s going to do the basic research, if Trump takes away funds from less well endowed institutions? Big Pharma and all sorts of tech companies get their ideas for products by analyzing studies paid for by our taxes. The case can be made that this is one the more effective uses fir what we pay in taxes. The government will.

My issue was purely with NASA and US interests. NASA should not be solely reliant on private enterprise for its space craft. NASA has a glorious history starting with the Gemini, Mercury and Apollo programs.
For private enterprise to succeed in the space industry it does need government assistance. Space X would be nothing if not for US government contracts.
No they can’t.Universities can pay for their own research.
Harvard has a $50+ billion endowment....They can pay for their own research...**** 'em.That’s why Trump’s attack on Harvard is so dangerous. Doubtful. SpaceX,like all Musk entities, ate welfare queens relying on government contracts or subsidies.Elon isn't scared of Trump. And that's a good thing. Trump isn't the king of the USA.
