Elon has announced Starlink will be provided free to everyone affected by Helene or Milton until at least the end of the year. Those who don't already have the kit to use it will be charged when they buy one and that is $300 something. Those who already have the kit will pay nothing at least through December. Starlink is one of the more pricey internet services but that is because it is relatively new technology. It can get internet to places that otherwise would not have it.
