Oh, this is fun

"“I certainly think that somebody who grew up in the United States of America, who benefited from our education system, from the freedoms and liberties that make this country a great place, I would hope that they want to compete with the United States of America,” "

DJ Vance thinks that people born in the US are American and should compete for America.

Oh, the irony. They want to stop Chinese kids born in the US from being US citizens, and then criticize Chinese kids born in the US who then compete for China at the winter Olympics.

It's all a bit weird.

if they are chinese kids why then would we call them americans??

being Chinese means they are under chinese jurisdiction not american,,

Who cares about a Chinese athlete?

Alysa Liu is the honourable athlete, her dad escaped the communists in China and when she won he wrapped himself in the flag. THAT is what Americans should want, not some one who represents another nation.

Does she live in China? If not, why not? That would be the epitome of hypocrisy worthy of being mocked.

And here we have YET ANOTHER attempt at broad brushing. Eileen Gu has an American Father and Chinese Mother and was born and raised in the US. Do you see how that might be different from a pregnant Chinese woman stumbling across the border so her child can have citizenship?

DJ Vance, apparently.

But then broad brushing is what MAGA does a lot, don't you think?

Look at Trump kicking out illegals. He says it's to protect the country, but he's not just kicking out those who have committed crimes, is he? No, he's kicking out people who are there legally, he's kicking out those who have been there since they were kids.

From what I understand her mother was Chinese and they paid her $7 million. Surely MAGA can understand that.

Yet the Progressives could not survive without the Chinese and other nations making our products cheaply. Otherwise, you would not have all these insurrectionists for any offense you take personal or are ordered to y your influencers. And some are Chinese.

Here's the thing. Eileen Gu (Or, if you will, Gu Ailing) has the talent, but for whatever reason was not considered for the American team.

So China says, "Sure, you can compete for us!" and she's mopping the floor with the competition.

Not really.

Wow you outdid yourself on this one Joe. A COMPLETE MISREPRESENTATION. Gu played games with her citizenship status so she could represent China and in return China PAID HER over 6 million bucks!!! Hey I don't fault her for cashing in, as long as she doesn't try to cheat on her taxes and default on the 2.5 million in windfall profits tax she owes. Posts like these erode your fragile credibility. Try to do better.

I’ve not seen any indication that she was not considered for the American team.

Eileen Gu was absolutely considered for the American team
, having grown up in California and competed for the U.S. Ski & Snowboard team until the 2018-2019 season. She chose to switch to representing China in 2019, a decision she described as "incredibly tough," driven by her desire to represent her mother's heritage and promote the sport in China.

Not really.

Nobody seems to have a problem that she was paid millions by China to compete for China.

You are playing HEY LOOK OVER THERE! again, Fridge. Here is the REAL issue with Eileen Gu competing for China. She does not have dual citizenship with China, she has LEGAL US citizenship and has lived every minute of her life in America. China is paying her $6.6 million to compete as a Chinese athlete. I'm not surprised the Olympic committee allowed it as they are another Left Wing anti-American organization. That said I think it's GREAT she competed for China as it brings in $2.5 million in tax revenue to the US, assuming she doesn't cheat on her taxes.

There are many US citizens playing for other countries. Oddly no comments from JD.

Then America should have made her a better offer.

Or maybe be a little less racist in their athlete selection.

JFC ... your obsession with fake racism is literally insane. You need help. You're sick.
Why in the hell would we get into a bidding war with China over one of OUR athletes?
And why do you think for a millisecond that her being Asian would prevent her from being on our team?
Your view of this country is so ******* warped I literally cannot believe it.

None at all.

Frankly, I don't give a shit about the Olympics or sports in general. But if she can make some money, and the American team didn't pick her, then why not?

JD needs to demonize the Middle Kingdom because he doesn't want people to notice how bad he and Trump are messing things up.
