Knesset: 40 Diplomats to Discuss Incitement at UNRWA Schools

MKs tell diplomats from dozens of UNRWA donor countries that the schools are hotbed for terrorism.

MK Yoni Chetboun (Jewish Home) is chairing a special discussion in the Knesset on Monday about the UNRWA schools in Palestinian Authority (PA) “refugee” neighborhoods.

Diplomats from dozens of countries that donate to UNRWA are to attend the session, which is to present them with the hard facts about illegal activities in the UNRWA schools.

MK Chetboun told Arutz Sheva that no less than 40 diplomats had registered for the session.

Chetboun intends to present the diplomats with background about UNRWA finances, which he has been privy to as a member of the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee.

He will be immediately followed by Dr. Einat Wilf, a researcher into the incitement in the PA “refugee” neighborhoods, who was a member of the 18th Knesset and chaired the Education Committee.

Chetboun wants the diplomats to relay to their countries a demand to verify exactly where the money they are donating is going. In addition, he wants the UN to supervise the flow of funds – and expects the UN to be less biased against Israel, once it knows that the demand has the backing of parliamentarians and experts, who will supervise its execution

When asked about the possibility that the donor nations are aware of the use that is made of their money and feel fine about it, Chetboun replied: “It turns out that at the end point, there are many diplomats here who do not know where the money goes and what is done with it, but I don't care about that. My job as Knesset Member and a representative of the Israeli interest is to place a mirror before world diplomacy and Israeli diplomacy, and show them an image with which they will have to deal. I cannot allow a situation in which funds flowing to the state of Israel will be transferred to Nazi incitement that looks like it belongs in 1933.”

Chetboun added that besides showing the diplomats school materials that call Jews “murderers, Nazis and animals,” he will stress that the UNRWA institutions “have become refuges for Hamas terrorists, and for hiding and launching missiles at Israel. We saw this in Operation Cast Lead. This is something we cannot ignore.”

A documentary about UNRWA children's camps shows just what kind of "solution" the Palestinian Authority and many of its citizens have in mind.

The film is made up almost exclusively of interviews with children and instructors at UNRWA camps.

In one part, campers are encouraged to chant: "With God's help and our own strength we will wage war. And with education and jihad we will return!"

At another point, a camp instructor brands Jews as "wolves."

The camps are mainly financed by the U.S. and other western countries including the UK, Canada and the EU, and the documentary raises serious questions about how and why western funds are being used to inculcate Arab children with a virulently militant brand of antisemitism.

"Camp Jihad" was produced by the Nahum Bedein Center for Near East Policy Research and produced by the Nahum Bedein Center for Near East Policy Research.

I myself was shocked; We can agree or disagree, but insulting and slandering family members is a red line that should not be crossed.

I asked her specifically to apologize for saying things like that without proof, and told her that since she treated a poster here without the minimal respect, I'd be forced to do the same. I'd be ready to let it go if she publically apologized to me. That didn't happen still.

I've never seen that post of hers. It doesn't even sound like her. But until I see the post you're referring to, I have to give you the benefit of the doubt that she said those things. With that being said (and for the record), I disagree with her comments. She should not have said them.

I see it as a "telling" thing more than any of her post. If someone here thinks it's enough and fair to insult family members, that someone shouldn't be here. We can call eachother names, but Billo, I'd never go to that low place of insulting your family, because I don't know your folks and I think parents are a "red line", no matter how much I disagree with what you say.

That's okay. I hate my family. I told my aunt Julie once, "I can't wait to piss on your grave!" I'll stop there. My grandmother had 10 kids and I got issues with about half of them.

If you both believe it's a good quiality when someone out open trashes your family, than you should both think about who is it you're looking up to, in this board.

I'm sorry to hear about your issue with your family, but I guess my point is that it doesn't matter, no one should talk about them or trash them infront of you without knowing them, or even if they did. I bet deep down it would have bothered you as well, at some point.

I hardly think it's the same thing, because none of this is about personal insults. There used to be a Palestinian poster here, I don't recall anyone insulting the way he was raised and by who. Insults in general are in freedom of speech, up to some point, I guess.

Are you sure as I have shown many of your sources to be far from reputable, as have others.

So what the land was owned by the LoN who gave it to the Jews and muslims to make into nations. It was never owned by Palestinian muslims since 1000 C.E., and the majority of the muslims were recent migrants looking for work. In 1948 the arab league invaded Palestine with the intention of mass murdering the Jews and carving up the land between themselves. So they were the only illegal occupiers of Palestine.
