Guy says all I needed was a starter and I found a great deal on ebay and fixed it myself......sure

your cheap scanner is not going to tell you that, starters can be in some tight places and you need good tools

so you got a deal, waited a week and hope it's corrects and good quality and if not you get the hassle to send it back

OR.....you go to your FLAPS like napa and autozone and buy it that day or next, easy returns

then some lady says she upgraded her exhaust.....really?

you have a pipe bender and can weld to make custom hangers like OEM?

It makes me laugh.....

sometimes getting a "deal" is not so much of a deal.....if you value your time and effort

We had to pay over $500 to have the alternator replaced on a 2016 Nissan. Jobs like that are not for the do do-it-yourselfers.

holy crap! I removed my own alt took it to a local shop who replaced the brushes, diodes, etc for like 60 bucks, installed myself

Course I've been working on cars for ages but yeah shops can rip you off

today in my area their base rate is 130-150 bucks and hour......you gotta be kidding

alternators are generally on top or bottom, not bad but starters are bolted into the flywheel which can be tight
