By happenstance, we live just a few blocks away from a Chinese Christian church. It works out well because during the week the large parking lot is mostly empty so me and my oldest boy can go run and train there. Today the church held its annual Easter Egg Hunt event. The kids and their families start by walking through several rooms explaining various aspects of the Passion of the Christ. Very nice, welcoming people at this church. They are not Catholic, but they get the idea.
After the egg hunt, there was another room where snacks and stuff were made available for the families to sit and eat. Good stuff, good people, good day.
Some of the people there got a kick out of it when I spoke with them in Mandarin, and everyone was very friendly. Some of the people who were there live very close to us. Some are friends of my wife. We'll be back.
