Being that they were communists and their government was modelled on he Soviet Union I always thought they were!it was not in the Soviet Bloc
Tito saw to that
There are a lot of ignorant people in my city who dont know much about anywhere or anything else who have that same attitude.Didn't you post the SAME TOPIC yesterday?
This forum is flooded with posts from you that are completely pointless.
i have twice been to Prague ... and it was fine there.I haven't, but....
While I'm both German and Polish myself, I always had a special liking for Czechoslovakia, their culture, their beer, their guns, their food and their taste....AND their attitude toward the Soviet Union even while under its control.
I've seen some cool Czech movies too!
Anyhow, I noticed Yugoslavia is not on your list.![]()
You only posted a few. You didn't post all of them. I have been to all of them.East European countries ... the former Soviet Bloc ...which have you visited?
which have you visited?
Grey. Dreary. The smell of industry in the air. Cracked sidewalks and bad roads. Cold rooms. Limited shopping and long queues. You had to know what time to buy bread, eggs, meat, etc. before they were sold out for the day. Foreign TV films were talk-overed by a single person. Babushkas in the corridors and in front of the public toilettes where you had to pay a few kopecks. Women standing on ladders in the middle of shops to stare at you to see if you are a shop-lifter. But I still feel nostalgic for the pace.and how was it like then?
But here you are anyway making pointless comments. This forum is flooded with posts from you that are completely pointless.
