In early childhood development, one of the first words that a child comes to say is the word "no".

That happens at around the age of 2 years old.

Before that time, the world of the child is what his parents design for him, and he has no choice but to accept it, on the basis of blind trust, for the purpose of developing his own senses.

If the child is born into a cult, then this period is all about the devil. If the child is not born into a cult, but a cult targets him, with or without his knowledge, the purpose is to bring him back into this stage of life.

Discuss.

Why would that be the purpose and what is the consequential damage? Is it all cults that are harmful?

The purpose is what the cult leaders believe is handed down for them as a commandment by the devil.

The consequential damage is that a victim lives his entire life as a 2 year old child and has no knowledge of how many people act through him, and how many sins get committed through him.

That doesn't make sense. Are cults only religious?

Usually but not necessarily. But religious concepts give the easiest way to describe the control that they exercise over their victims.

Interesting opinion.

meh. . IMO, better the cult of religion than the cult of the STATE.

Otherwise, folks have no conception of the control which the STATE is exercising over them. They become arrogant and have no humility before creation. . . indeed, they do not even understand or acknowledge a need for humility, nor recognize, acknowledge, or have gratitude for the divine grace.

Blind faith in Luciferianism and Scientism is far more dangerous. It is arrogant, ignorant, and, like a child, defies the natural order.

.....the cult can also be the fairy tale teachings of god/jesus/etc....Christians and Christian nations have committed the most death/destruction/robbery/etc
....the devil is a fairy tale also

Everyone is wired differently- their environment effects their thought processes which develop continuously, as in evolve. At some point, the Individual, must confront his thinking to effect change in himself if he doesn't like the results he's living (because himself is the only person he can change)- it's called, introspect- not many have it and those that do don't utilize it much- cults, no matter what their foundation, (religion and politics are the most powerful as they play to emotion, not hard evidence) are a tool to disallow introspection- cults are anti-Individual which is stupid, because absolutely nothing happens without Individual effort- the hard evidence being, History- the cult (group think with a derisive name) moves on, changes its tune and beliefs (evolves) and disallows Individual thought because it is a threat to group think- group think is to control the mob/majority of participants in whatever the agenda may be- politics and religion appeal to emotion to stir up against the opposition (devil or politician) to gain power- the question ignored is who/what is gaining power? The answer is: the Individual- well, duh. Do tell.

You just described life as a member of many "christian" megachurches.
Agreed. They tend to "pray" for "prosperity." That bullshit prosperity Gospel is. . . insanity. If you think you are here to enjoy the fruits of materialism? You just don't get it.
It's possible to go from birth to death totally enclosed within the world of those churches and never know what the world is really like. All the time devoting your energies and income to brother so-and-so and his mission from God.

If life is good doing it and no one is harmed I have no problem with it.

Insular religious organizations are rife with all sorts of abuse. It's why they exist to begin with. Charismatic preachers have the unique ability to have sexually abused generations of his flock and they will still weep at his deathbed.

I understand that but they are not categorized as cults. So I am curious the difference.

I absolutely categorize the megachurches as cults.
