RAMALLAH, (PIC)-- Speaker of the Palestinian legislative council (PLC) Dr. Aziz Al-Dweik has said that the PLC would resume sessions next February to assume its duties according to the law.
He told Al-Jazeera.net on Wednesday that the PLCÂ’s priorities in the next stage would be discussing the Palestinian peopleÂ’s concerns, reuniting the Palestinians, and enhancing reconciliation.
Dweik said that the PLC would have to tackle with a number of “difficult” issues such as the legislations and laws that were passed in Gaza and the West Bank over the past four and a half years of internal division.
He opined that the PLC would endorse whatever was in the interest of the Palestinian people, amend or reject what it sees fit according to concordance.
