Durham Residents Welcome New County Manager, Protest Proposed $16 Million Police Facility
At the Durham County Board of Commissioners meeting Tuesday, residents were on hand to swear in Claudia Hager as the county manager. Others protested a proposed police training facility some are comparing to Atlanta’s “cop city.”

this is so right.
“Police are asked to do too much,” Johnson said. “They’re expected to be mental health counselors, social workers, substance abuse experts and more, in addition to their role of solving crime. What I didn’t hear named as a challenge in these interviews was the lack of a multi-million dollar training facility like the one we’re discussing tonight.”
you all complain they are trained go enough. so when they building more training facilities you don't want that either. no pleasing anyone. especially liberals. no pleasing some trashy folks.
