Dow headed for the worst April since the Great Depression

You guys need to get out of the bunker mentality that anyone who disagrees with you is just doing it for political reasons. It really distorts your reality and makes you look really dumb.
The guy was wrong about transitory inflation and was too slow to lower rates. He is horrible. I wish Trump would fire him, but the left would jump all over him for that too.

You're repeating the Trump talking points. I'm just shocked.

Appointed by Trump.
Yes, a mistake

Powell is a Bush Republican. That is to say, a RINO. The man is in the Yellen camp, and she is a borderline Socialist.

I mentioned that he and Yellen were wrong about transitory inflation years ago. I'm not sure where you were. Likely buying into whatever rhetoric is anti-Republican or anti-Trump. Kind of like now.

Sure. Powell couldn't adequately predict the future in one instance. But inflation did come down and Powell did achieve the soft landing that people thought was going to be basically impossible.

Notably, this level of perfection in foresight is only applicable to people who don't bend the knee. Trump and Republicans get major things wrong all the time, but you still love them. It's an excuse you're making to try and bully Powell into doing what you want. Or more likely, setting up a narrative to blame him for Trump's incompetence.

Daily? Hard to believe, but typical MAGA/Trump exaggeration to get a rise, right?
/—-/ I do. I trade weekly options and need to keep up to date to make adjustments. Why is that so difficult to understand?

Up 750 today so far.
Only 5,000 away for the start of the trump term, 44,025
Right now, 39,025.

/—-/ I check and adjust my 401 k daily. You don’t?
I check it daily, but don't adjust it daily.
Very few people are successful at timing the market.

You must obviously be one of this successful ones that touts his wins, but never mentions his losses.

Up over 1K points now.

I guess Market Crash Tuesday did not pan out for the dems.
Lol, and they are quite disappointed about this up day. Imagine how weird it would be to be in the mind of a Dem and to have to think like that, all because you hate Trump so much. Day after day, hoping for your own country to do poorly and fail.

An April 16 poll of 1,000 registered voters conducted by RMG Research, a public opinion research firm founded by conservative pollster Scott Rasmussen, for Napolitan News Service found that if an election for Congress were held today, 48 percent would vote for the Democrat on their ballot, while 44 percent would vote for the Republican.

That's funny. I guess the people pulling massive amounts of money out of US equities don't know anything about the markets either. Jerome Powell doesn't know anything about the markets. JP Morgan doesn't know anything about the markets.

All you have is blind faith in Trump.
Terrible time to pull money out IMO but a great time to put more in if you happen to have some money currently available to invest long term.

/—-/ My portfolio has gone down but no
Losses because I didn’t sell. I generate weekly income writing covered calls. When the market goes up, I sell cash secured puts.
In January one of you libtards called me a liar because I mentioned making money on DJT and the holding company. I posted my return. That same lib who called me a liar said I posted it because I’m insecure and needed attention.
Never again. If you don’t believe me go pound sand.

/—-/ The libtards did the same to GW Bush.

You're a liar. See above
I want the market back to 44,025, where it was when trump took office, then upward from that.
Trump single-handedly forced the market down.
A criminal act.

Maybe, maybe not. The market could fall another 20% and take a decade to get back to previous highs. Some people pulling out now and investing in foreign markets could get far greater returns in that time frame if the US economy can't bounce back from Trump's stupidity.

I think the U.S. economy will be just fine. I love these buying opportunities when I have money available to invest. I'm certainly not great at timing the market but whenever I see opportunities like this one, I try to take advantage of these not too frequent opportunities.

These are just coping excuses. No one is really sitting on a pile of cash waiting for the market to drop because of Trump's stupidity and if they are, they're not a very intelligent investor.

No one really knows what happens to the US economy. We could easily lose a decade of market gains. We have before.

No coping excuses, lol.

I'm not sitting on a pile of cash but there are certainly times when I have enough of a surplus that I am on the lookout for what feels like a good opportunity to put a little more into the market. And at those times, it doesn't matter to me who is in office - a Democrat or Republican. While I'm a conservative Republican, I never let my feelings about a president impact what I see as buying opportunities. My investing strategy and investment moves are entirely separate from my political stance and my political hopes.
