DOUBLE STANDARD: Indicted former president calls on indicted Senator to resign

Donald Trump’s incredible lack of self-awareness is one of the single most compelling reasons that Trump should never be president again. The man indicted in four jurisdictions on 91 total felony counts (FOUR jurisdictions, one has to work at it to do that) is calling on indicted Senator Bob Menendez (D-NJ) to resign.

Actually, he wants every Democratic senator to resign. But we’ll get there.

The very fact that Sen. Menendez was searched, arrested, and charged is a testament to what we have always known: that the FBI — though not perfect — remains the world’s most elite police force and is not primarily political.

Trump sees none of this. On Sunday, he wrote:

“Senate Democrats should all resign based on Senator Bob Menendez! They all knew what was going on, and the way he lived. Why doesn’t the FBI raid Senate Democrat’s homes like they illegally raided Mar-a-Lago, where nothing was done wrong based on the Presidential Records Act. Menendez is a ‘piker’ compared to some of those Election Stealing THUGS.”

The FBI had a warrant. Mar-a-Lago was not illegally searched.

Yeah, no. Aides report "Shell companies and aliases you dumb fucking spick!" was heard several times during diaper changes over the weekend.
