Yeah, that is what every leftist here always claims. You were all out buying yachts and planes. Guess Reagan was pretty good to you after all. Funny how those who most denounce the evils of capitalism always seem to end up exploiting it the most.
Reagan was the beginning of the end for the middle class. The beginning of the end of unions. Went from 35% of US workers down to 6. And in that same time CEO's pay went up 1322% ours only 18%. So depending on who you are, America never stopped being great.
The people hurt the most are uneducated blue collar whites. I'm educated. So when Republicans turned America into Every Man For Himself, we were able to adapt. I often tell the story how I make close to $100K and I'm 53. I have to work another 9 years at least. If I would have just went to work for Ford when I was 17, I would be retired for 6 years with a 30 year pension.
I also don't have kids. No I didn't buy a yacht and plane. Once Obama got us out of Bush's great recession and got Manufacturing back on track, I purchased a Pontoon and a Quad. Cash. $34K
Reagan invented NAFTA. Clinton only signed it.
Roll back Reagan, Bush and Trump's tax breaks and America will be great again. Or at least the Bush tax breaks. Even Trump admits America was great in the 90's and anyone who didn't like Clinton was just jealous.
It was Reagan who raised my retirement age in the 80's. He didn't do it to baby boomers. He did it to future generations. Me. Us. You.
Pensions ended on Reagans watch
I think Reagan was the first president to spend more than all the other presidents before him combined.
