The administration has made it clear that if you are here illegally and ask to go back, the person will be given a flight back and $1,000 and then can apply properly by going to actual border checkpoints, fill in the paperwork and then will, after a brief vetting process, will be let back in.
The other way to get back will be to simply apply for a green card, which enables the person to come into the U.S. and work.
Those they don't want in are members of dangerous gangs (MS-13, Tren de Aragua, et cetera), drug-cartel members, criminals fleeing prosecution in their own nations, Islamic terrorists, people wanting to wrest US land back to Mexico and sex-traffickers and Communists.

Do keep in mind that there are Americans who don't get out there and work to begin with because they don't think that they should have to work a job in the first place. Instead, they find a way to score well fare, food stamps, etc. The illegal employees may be illegal, but at least they are willing to be the employees and if the businesses that they go to work for are desperate enough for the help, the people in charge of the businesses are going to hire whoever applies for the available jobs.
