I don't know what I would do if I lost my old one, I have had for years. I guess go on ebay and try and find one. Mine is just the bottle with a spout you unsnap the cap off of. No springs or any dumb stuff like that.

I have "pre-ban" Eagle gas cans. 2-5 gal., 2-2.50 gal, 1-1 gal., plus a 5 gal. Kero can.....I still have my first 2.5 gallon can I bought during the gas crisis!

When a local hardware store went out of business I went and bought all of their stock of spout assemblies, storage caps, and replacement vents. I've refurbed/sold many a Eagle can.

I was getting $45.00 for the 5 gal. cans.
