Unlikely to behead a zombie with a rapier. I wouldn't rely on thrusting accuracy in a highly tense situation. Besides, even if you can kill it with a thrust to the brain your rapier can get stuck in the skull. You're better off with a sword with a curved or flamberge blade as they are superior slicing weapons.

And in England, there's a ban on large knives. The idiot governments don't get it, if someone wants to kill you, they're going to use most anything to accomplish their goal. Get rid of guns and they use knives. Get rid of knives (as if they could) and they use blunt instruments. Get rid of blunt instruments (as if they could) and they use their motor vehicles. Get rid of motor vehicles and they'll use poison. In the end, they've still got hard shoes/boots and their fists/hands to kill someone.
