I think there would be very little bloodshed. It's a nice idea to think people would fight back but I don't believe many would. There might pockets of them here and there that would, but not enough to make a dent. They would be killed or imprisoned for life and that would scare the others.

I think a majority of them would either hide them or give them up.

The military can't be used in civilian law enforcement UNLESS the government declares Martial Law. It's call Posse Comitatus. Plus, most of the Army, at least, would refuse orders to confiscate weapons from ordinary citizens as illegal orders.
