Does Free exercise/establishment clause apply to Political beliefs?

Anyone else here already use the First Amendment to defend political beliefs from establishing other faith based creeds through Govt?

Which argument do you use for this?

The first amendment covers the basic rights of all people. At least that was the story thus we have the 14th 15th 19th 24th and 26th amendments to the Constitution to include more and more people. To truly protect everyone's rights. They're still more work to be done. As long as people are still marginalized we are not the people we are supposed to be. A perfect union is not possible, not on this Earth. But a " More perfect union " is possible.

Acknowledgement ≠ establishment.

For example, hanging the Ten Commandments in or near a courtroom merely acknowledges a template, which outline acts of aggression that one should not act out....It doesn't establish any religion as the law.
