It isn't a matter of knowing or not knowing. It's a matter of, as long as it's nice in their backyard they don't care what happens to the rest of the country.
Their comfort, their wealth, their political power, and maintaining the illusion everything is fine is all that matters to them.
They are like a bosses at a factory that as long as corporate office isn't yelling at them and they keep getting paid they don't care what happens as long as it isn't effecting them. They could be under staffed, employees working double shifts, and everything hanging by a thread, but as long as the bosses aren't inconvenienced then they don't care what's going outside of their private office.

The 2024 Presidential election is going to be the most screwed up election in history.
It looks like the goddamn Democrat assholes have succeeded in undermining Trump. I don't see any path for him to pull it out with all the shit the Democrats have unjustly thrown at him.
DeSantis has been a great Governor for Florida but I don't think he is quite ready for Prime Time. Maybe one day but not now.
Meanwhile the Democrats have the worst President ever who is still in the running and the worst Governor in the country as backup.
On top of that we have the Democrat Dirty Tricks Department that has the infrastructure in place to deliver whatever number of fraudulent ballots needed in any swing district.
We are pretty well fucked.
