Documentary shows scenes of home demolitions by Israel in Negev
BEERSHEBA (Ma’an) – "A Palestinian organization based in the Negev has released a documentary depicting what the organization called the “ongoing Nakba (catastrophe) against the population of the Negev since 1948.”
According to the article, this film brings to light the suffering and embittered lives of the Palestinian Bedouin residents of the Negev, especially those from "unrecognized villages."
As the film depicts, those Bedouin residents of the Negev have been deprived of basic life requirements, to include water and electricity networks, as well as schools and medical clinics.
"The documentary warns of Israeli plans to displace the population and “steal their land” through heavy restrictions to make their lives unbearable. The film warns in particular of the Prawer displacement plan which will “bring back the Palestinian Nakba on the land of Negev” while the world watches.*"
The film documents scenes of home demolitions, and of land bulldozing and of displacement of Bedouin residents of the Negev by the IDF.
The film also portrays the major role Palestinians play
who live in Israel to support the Bedouin residents of the Negev and to help strengthen their determination to remain on their land.
These efforts to help the Bedouin are addressed in the film and include construction projects, relief activities and voluntary work to defy Israeli plans.*
The film was directed by Muhammad Abu Rizqa and it was produced by Sanabil Productions.

This is certainly a timely made documentary, being released as Israel is considering passage of the infamous Prawer Plan that proposes to ethnically cleanse 40, 000 Israeli citizens, who are Bedouin, from their villages.
