I’m sure there will be some, but I doubt it will be a statistically measurable number. We’ve already reached a place where fewer and fewer cross-ideology couples exist, so there aren’t as many politically “mixed” relationships to end.

I'm am reading that not being politically aligned is deal breaker in new relationships for the younger generations. That is not a good sign.

Even in my generation (I’m 50) there really don’t seem to be many cross-ideology relationships which have lasted over time. Whether that’s good or bad could be a matter of viewpoint.
