Do you think there will be friendships and marriages ending after this election, regardless who wins?

I’m sure there will be some, but I doubt it will be a statistically measurable number. We’ve already reached a place where fewer and fewer cross-ideology couples exist, so there aren’t as many politically ā€œmixedā€ relationships to end.

You edited my statement. I did not say I'm friends with Trump haters on this board. They are neither friends nor enemies. The thread is about personal relationships being affected by the outcome of the 2024 election.

I'm am reading that not being politically aligned is deal breaker in new relationships for the younger generations. That is not a good sign.

Even in my generation (I’m 50) there really don’t seem to be many cross-ideology relationships which have lasted over time. Whether that’s good or bad could be a matter of viewpoint.
