Zone1 do you think candles are a Catholic thing?

some seem to think so.

do you also?

Does the Bible mentions Candles?
Candles have been being used in hokey rituals for longer than christianity has been around.

So no.

They were originally a lighting thing, now mostly and atmosphere thing.

Aren't candles frequently used in Santería rituals?

I thought it was nine?

I stand corrected. It is nine. They use the one to light the eight. I forgot about that one. It's been a while since I celebrated Passover with friends (not Jewish myself, obviously).

Thank you.

I’m not Jewish, either. But I have been invited to celebrate a Seder with some of my friends. I was once deemed an honorary member of “the Tribe” by a classy and devout Jewish colleague, too.

And, I was raised a Christian and, thus, recognize that Jesus Christ was Jewish. I am appalled by all the virulent anti Semitism spewed by the current leftarded Democrat Party.

Anyway, I don’t see candles as just being a Catholic thing.

Candles are suggestive of light and many religions use it as a metaphor for one thing or another.
