The push to audit the Fed has become bipartisan and there is new legislation that would do just that.

No other institution has so much unchecked power. Look no further than the unlimited authority the Fed used in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Fed printed money, purchased government-backed securities and doled out massive amounts of money to favored industries. These actions added almost $5 trillion in debt to the Fed’s balance sheet.

Paul’s bill, the Federal Reserve Transparency Act, would require a complete audit of all of the Federal Reserve’s operational activities and mandate an enhancement of its decision-making through increased congressional oversight. The Comptroller General of the United States would complete the audit and include an inspection of “the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System and of Federal Reserve banks,” according to the bill. The bill stipulates that the audit must be completed less than “12 months after the date of enactment” of Paul’s legislative proposal.

The "FAIR Act" aims to redirect funds from bank reserves to the U.S. Treasury, citing Fed's operating losses and alleged mismanagement.

These are only a few ideas to make the Fed better at its job. IMHO the Fed has become too political and whimsical.
We need them to show the math on why they move rates or don't move rates.
What model did they use and what result did it output, so its accuracy can be tracked and debated.

Who the hell likes corruption or overspending?

Well, okay yes BUT...the one's doing the auditing can't be the same stupid shits who lose track of hundreds of billions in taxpayer money, get rich on insider trading and borrowed us into a $37 trillion dollar debt hole.
And preferably not a bunch of ketamine addicted incels who let AI do their thinking for them.

KPMG Audits the Fed already
I don't know why Rand doesn't like the KPMG audits of the Fed.
But, Ted Cruz' FAIR Act would save $100b a year in interest payments by the Fed

Total transparency.

That is an excellent idea!
The Fed will do better when AOC and Jasmine have a vote on their decisions.

Not a vote, but we all see the math. The Fed rate should be based on a mathematical proof, not what the Pharisees say it is.
Not the size of Greenspan's briefcase. (lots of papers meant cut, skinny briefcase meant no cut)

As though they'd never ever lie to us. :poop:
Right. So let's have the fat rapist bring in a bunch of ketamine addicted incels that are definitely know for their expertise and honesty.
