there's a difference between being HONEST and being a jerk......
You can be blunt and honest, how it is said is the key.....

If you are "self actualized" (totally comfortable in your skin) you will not worry what others think of you and just be yourself.
I raised my kids to be like this.
If you are bizarre, though, you also have to accept the fact that it might be hard to make friends and such. But, you have to make that choice.

Exactly. Just because someone does not say everything that pops into their head does not mean they are scared or afraid of ridicule.

there is nothing wrong with being afraid of ridicule either.
some people are just mentally stronger than others.
just like some people are physically stronger than others
