I was leaning towards being neutral but languages fascinate me. Latin seems to have roots in some of our modern languages like Spanish, French, Italian, Portugeuse, and possibly English. It is probably good that someone living is knowledgeable of this dead language. I don't know how this topic will spark a discussion. Surely there aren't many people passionate one way or the other about Latin.
Latin Is a Multitask Language and Contributed to the Superiority of the Roman Army

It's a mental exercise. For example, athletes lift weights but never lift anything in their sports. So, using the anti-Latinist thinking, athletes shouldn't work out.

On the other hand, if athletes only have time for practice, they shouldn't cut into that time by working out.

Lingua Latina mortua est
Tam mortua quam mortua esse potest
Primum Romanum interfecit
Et nunc me interfecit

I can see why one would think that.

However, if one is interested in Greco-Romano history, it is necessary.

Also, it is a fun language (at least I think so), and English grammatical structure in the language and culture of Romano-Britannia forward to and through the Medieval Age to the Rennaissance.
