Do you honestly believe that Trump will be able to solve the border crisis? If you do, you have no clue as to what is involved and how much it will cost you out of your own pocketbook, year after year after year.

Let me begin by asking YOU a question "If you and your family were starving, facing a bleak future where things could not get better and there was a solution to the problem (migrating to a better country), is there ANYTHING that could stop you from trying?

They will continue coming and due to the fact that overpopulation continues to occur, it will get worse (not better)

One other thing you do need to know and understand.

1) how much will it cost the American taxpayer to deport all illegal aliens and keep deporting them as they come

Trump wants a mass deportation. How much could it cost?

One report estimates it could cost tens, or hundreds, of billions a year.

2) what is the cost of building the wall and keeping the border patrol in effect

The Cost of Immigration Enforcement and Border Security

  • Since 1994, when the current strategy of concentrated border enforcement was first rolled out along the U.S.-Mexico border, the annual budget of the U.S. Border Patrol has increased nearly 20-fold, rising from $400 million to over $7.3 billion in FY 2024 (Figure 1). Even when adjusted for inflation, that is an increase of over 765 percent.
President Trump spent roughly $15 billion on border barriers during his four years in office. He built a total of 458 miles. The border with Mexico alone is 1,933 miles. If the entire border built a wall, that would mean an additional $45 billion, and that is only the border with Mexico. A lot of illegal immigration is coming through Canada,

Keep in mind that all of these costs are coming out of OUR pocket (you and me)

To finish it off, someone said that no more than 1,000 illegals would come every year? That is hilariously misinformed.

People will continue to come in masses as it is big business for the Coyotes that bring them in. Neither is going to stop. Money generates innovation and miracles. There are hundreds of ways to come in and hundreds of reasons to do it. Illegal immigration will ameliorate but only to a small degree, As such, you will keep paying and paying and paying to keep the out.

Here is a meme that will give you some idea of what is involved in keeping (actually NOT keeping) the border secure

That's why deportations will continue.

This statement alone reveals your COMPLETE lack of understanding of this problem. They are not spending their lifetime savings to risk illegal entry to the USA because their country is crowded FFS.

No one can solve any issue 100%, but he can keep it to a minimum and with support of these policies from the NEXT administrations we can get the border under control.

Trump-era southern border sees migrant encounters plummet by …

The number of migrants arriving at the southern border has dropped by over 60% since President Donald Trump took office last week, new data obtained by Fox News Digital shows.

Why not be angry at the person who caused the crisis?

What would happen if we stopped enforcing border security?

1) how much will it cost the American taxpayer to deport all illegal aliens and keep deporting them as they come

It's much cheaper than free bus tickets to the city of choice, followed by months of welfare, shelter, debit cards, etc. that you and I pay for.

2) what is the cost of building the wall and keeping the border patrol in effect

The Wall pays for itself.

It is only a temporary thing. It does not make sense to come when things are at the hottest point. They cannot (budget-wise and man-wise) remain at this point and it will come back.

What would happen if we stopped enforcing border security?
All extremes are bad. We need a middle point that comes with a compromise between the parties, the costs involved, and the way to do it. Even then, the problem will not go away, only be somewhat controlled.

The ONLY thing that will solve the crisis is a world catastrophe where everyone has to work together to accomplish survival.

Trump will not solve the crisis, only delay it for a few months. It will come back.

Like I said.

It will take effort and the support of coming administrations.

Trump can't fix in 4 years what has been broken forever.

He has a good start though.

15th post
Until we find out how much it cost.

It LOOKS good but Trump is a master con artist and we are being conned.

No more so than by past administrations who tied the border patrol's hands behind their backs and restricting LEO's from doing their job.

wrong!

Here is the "bottom line" to what Trump is doing and the yearly cost thereafter

How Much Will Mass Deportations Cost?

The pro-immigration American Immigration Council estimates a one-time push to deport all 11 million undocumented immigrants would cost $315 billion, while deporting one million people a year would cost $88 million annually. The operation could also have economic impacts, the group notes, including lost tax revenue, less consumer spending and labor shortages—especially in industries like agriculture and construction. Trump has defended the costs, saying there is "no price tag" for his mass deportation plans and "we have no choice."

and from AI as to the overall damage caused by this kind of an expense

According to estimates from the American Immigration Council, a one-time cost of $315 billion to deport undocumented immigrants, followed by an annual cost of $88 billion, would represent a significant economic impact, potentially causing disruptions in labor markets, impacting industries reliant on undocumented workers, and putting substantial strain on government budgets, potentially leading to reduced spending in other areas.

Key points about the potential economic damage:
  • Large initial cost:
The immediate $315 billion cost would represent a substantial drain on government funds, which could lead to increased borrowing or cuts to other programs.

  • Ongoing strain:
The annual $88 billion cost would further strain the budget over time, potentially impacting economic growth and public services.

  • Labor market disruption:
Mass deportation could lead to significant labor shortages in industries heavily reliant on undocumented workers, potentially causing price increases and business disruptions.

  • Economic impact on communities:
Communities with large undocumented populations could experience significant economic decline due to reduced spending power and business closures.
