I find Obama to be repulsive. Cartoons ridiculing him not so much so.

Nevermind, the OP for some reason is being mysterious.
There are various stories about this, after three attempts to find an article that includes a response from the Newspaper....
It is basically a he said / he said situation.
He said he was fired for being anti-Trump.
The newspaper said it is not because of his cartoons, rather an inability to work with editors and refusing to perform basic job functions.

Who knows, it might be a little of both.
I happen to believe it probably is just that.... it is part the new publishers seemingly dislike for him....and part this man's bad attitude.
