"WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Director of National Intelligence (DNI) Tulsi Gabbard declassified a Top Secret email from then-DNI James Clapper exposing his efforts to suppress concerns raised by then-National Security Agency (NSA) Director Mike Rogers regarding the politicized January 2017 Intelligence Community Assessment (ICA) that President Obama ordered.

On December 22, 2016, Rogers wrote an email to Clapper, then-FBI Director James Comey, and then CIA Director John Brennan expressing serious concerns over the NSA’s lack of “sufficient access,” warning that NSA personnel “aren’t fully comfortable saying that they have had enough time to review all of the intelligence to be absolutely confident in their assessments.” Clapper responded, “We may have to compromise on our ‘normal’ modalities” and “more time is not negotiable.”

“The leading figures in the Russia Hoax have spent years deceiving the American public by presenting their manufactured and politicized assessments as credible intelligence. The email released today reinforces what we already exposed: the decision to compromise standards and violate protocols in the creation of the 2017 manufactured intelligence assessment was deliberate and came from the very top,” said DNI Gabbard. “Clapper’s own words confirm that complying with the order to manufacture intelligence was a ‘team sport.’”"

Clapper, Brennan, and even Barack Obama need to take a seat in front of a grand jury and explain in detail how their spying operation against Trump worked.
Their grand conspiracy is out in the open now.

Gabbard is generally a serious and methodical woman who is trusted by Americans while also supporting transparency. To such a degree that you can be sure that if any former government official violated their oath, citizens civil rights and/or manufactured threats, they are not comfortable right now. They probably expect they will be ok as the system will protect them, but they cannot be so certain.

Often I hear Kash Patel make a succinct statement, "let good cops do their jobs". This is a vital distinction in a free society based on laws and due process because there were many bad cops and their superiors who violated Trumps civil liberties, Kash and the world know this if they are honest men and women. They raided his home and went through his wifes belongings almost certainly suspecting "this feels political". They wouldn't know for sure, but their instincts would guide them to this conclusion.

You can say "they were just following orders". This is true, but someone, somewhere along the lines should have blown a whistle at some point. I've felt that about my own circumstances, "where are the men with honesty and courage"? The nazis also said "we were just following order", how do we feel about that today knowing the atrocities that occurred as there were too few men of courage (and many courageous men who died in all fairness)?

It has to be a major wake up call for Trump even after all he had experienced with the Russia, Russia bs, impeachments, random and anonymous allegations etc. It is a big reason I believe he received votes from minority communities, especially men, they saw a guy who had his rights violated and they knew that he would relate to many of their experiences.

Let good cops do their jobs indeed. Let good politicians also do their jobs. Where you have bad apples, bad cops, bad politicians, you MUST hold them accountable and where possible weed them out of their positions.

I listen to all sorts of podcasts of former FBI and CIA agents. I listen to both extreme sides of the aisle be it Young Turks or Sky News Australia and everything in between. I know that a large majority of their "reporting" is ideologically driven and I disregard it or even laugh to myself at the comedy relief. There will be a few gold nuggets in which I say "that's an honest report".

This is especially true for former agents as you know part of their presentation is performative. Hell, they may still be spies or recruited for another department but I listen for the entertainment value and to read between the lines. I'm not easily impressed or persuaded but if someone is intelligent I will at least listen to their stories.

Regardless, as I am a fast typer and even faster thinker, this is all a long-winded way of me stating that I've never heard a good word uttered about John Brennan. This includes from former CIA agents.

I'm sure some glowing praise has been given to him, no doubt. He was Director at a heightened and extreme time so I'm sure many supported him, I've just not personally heard it in any video.

I'm sure they exist but it would to be so far down a rabbit hole that I wouldn't have found or remembered it. That's a really difficult reality for someone to admit after years of respecting the work of intelligence agencies (especially the FBIs once pristine reputation). It's also an indictment of leaders who were supposed to be courageous at that time but instead allowed the reputation of America take a major hit.

“We may have to compromise on our normal modalities .”

That is the best euphemism for “We are gonna ******* lie” that I have ever heard of.

Amazing word salad. Kamala is jealous.
