No ... no one here would know ... not without you disclosing your disability ... what does your doctor say? ...

I believe if you can do any work at all, you will not be eligible for Social Security benefits ... the stories you hear include fraud, and I don't think that's what you mean ... I don't know about private insurance or why you'd even have a policy ...

Look, people with disabilities often don't get disability insurance and it can take years to even get consideration for your claim then likely an appeal or hiring a lawyer and another wait of years to find out. Then you owe part of it to the attorney for a time.

They hope you die before you can collect.

I would suggest contacting you Congressman's office for Social Security claims, see if they have a SS specialist there ... mine did and she was great, unfortunately I wasn't disabled ... but I did save all that attorney money ...

Are you disabled? ... what basic life task are you unable to complete? ... things like cooking your own meals or dressing yourself ... we all have troubles but money is for people who can't wipe their own assholes after they shit ... they have to pay someone ...

I knew a man who broke his neck by falling off of a balcony in New Orleans while throwing beads at tits during Mardi gras. It took him 6 years to get disability and was denied several times despite being confined to a wheelchair.
He finally got approved but had to hire attorneys to do it, and they took a chunk of money from him to do so.

Yep. Crooked lawyers will purposefully make it go on for years because they get a third of the back pay. If the case takes only a year, they get 1X amount of money. If the case takes 6 years, they get 6X amount of money. There is a huge financial incentive for them to delay, delay, delay.

For every one, I've ten who file false claims ... I was adding to your comments that a lawyer doesn't have to be your first contact ... some congressmen will step in and help IF you're actually disabled and eligible for benefits ... it was a different matter, but an e-mail from Peter DeFazio (OR-4) had the State calling me within two hours apologizing ... matter dropped completely forevermore, which is actually quite extraordinary for Child Support Enforcement, them be nasty fuckers ...

Excuse #4 - "Social Security denied my claim and that's why I don't have rent money" ... ask any landlord ...
