I put 'other' as I have no idea what's to follow but I have an uneasy feeling about this.

Im thinking this has a greater chance NOT to follow the same path that the Iraq war did. The Iraqis and Iranians are very different people. True the IRGC are nut cases, but the regular military there is not as fanatical.

Back in my first days using the internet to talk to others, to listen to others very well, I ran into a Army officer chatting on a forum called Great Commanders. It was a good forum where we all simply talked. No name calling and all were interested in learning more and teaching us more. Imagine a group of actual professional teachers in a room of good friends. This Army officer and I got to e-mailing too. My point here on this thread is I told him I believed China was one hell of a threat. He got educated at West Point and really knew his stuff. When we lost contact, he was then a Major. He told me then and it is still true, 30 years later, China does not have a blue water navy. IF it gets one, it can then be a major threat.

Iran did not have one. It now has no navy. So, what is a blue water navy? Ships that have built into them ways to create potable water from sea water. Our navy has all of that.

I voted other because I think the military tech has evolved to the point that we may never see another "world war" in the sense that we did in WW1 and WW2.

I can see several campaigns taking place at the same time, maybe, and it would, in a sense, meet the definition - technically. However, it won't be anything like the strategies of the past.

I had to vote "other" for the time being. But once Trump and his Israeli bosses run out of munitions or get close to running out ... there will be one Super Power left on earth. China. They haven't wasted a dime. And the Idiot in Chief literally thinks he has an infinite supply of arms.

So IS it WWIII? Not at the moment. Could it become WWIII? Absolutely.

It's a continuation of WW2, which is a war between Democracy and Totalitarianism. The Cold War and all conflicts since 1945 have been between the rule of the people or by a small group of elitists. Surrogate nations and cultural and political groups around the globe have been used to fight this war. It is a war not only of traditional military means but also of clandestine means. And the use of propaganda to change the minds of the general population to mistrust their own government and way of life. 1944 the US population was 138,000,000. On D-Day, 2500 Americans died. The media praised FDR
2026 the US population is 349,000,000. On Epic Fury day, 4 Americans died. The media is crucifying Trump.

2500/138,000,000 = great job
4/349,000,000 = terrible job.

1) The media is no longer patriotic and will do anything to undermine America and Trump.
2) The leftwing media are snowflakes who think nobody should get hurt or killed ever (except Trump).
