Dictionary of racist code words

Back in 2008 I learned that "socialist" was a code word for black. I never knew that before.

We've been accusing the Democratic party of trying to move us toward socialism for as long as I can remember but it wasn't until 2008 that I learned that we were really trying to accuse them of trying to make us black ... or something. I never quite figured that out. But anyway, apparently it was racist to accuse Obama of having socialistic tendencies.




What other code words for racial ideas have you been alerted to by helpful Democrats over the last few years?

The last one I learned was that "break" is a racist verb.

I never knew that watermelon and fried chicken was racist either.

And of course, monkey. it was AOK to say and post pictures of Bush as one.

"Break" was new one for me too.


I knew about watermelon, fried chicken and monkey.


But it is a pretty sad double standard that what was done to Bush is racist when done to Obama.

On the subject of "monkey", this was one where people were too quick to holler racist. Remember this cartoon prompted by that horrific case of the chimpanzee ripping a woman's face off?

To me the obvious and logical interpretation of this was that the stimulus legislation was poorly written. Monkeys typing gibberish is a nonracial allusion. At least it always was as long as I could remember ... until that cartoon came out.




But this with Bush ... a-ok, right?
