Not a fan of catch and release if releasing on this side of the border. They can wait on the other side of the fence as far as I am concerned. There is no excuse or political justification, in light of the pandemic for not immediately testing everybody that is caught or turns themself in seeking asylum, and if positive returning across the border immediately. You and I don't often agree, but are pretty close to same view on this one. Biden administration is f#cking up on this one, and he needs to fix it. I am not for purely open borders, but 100% against letting diseased or untested aliens at the border stay in the country more than 24 hours. If facilities are overflowing, everybody goes back until they are not overflowing. Testing everybody when apprehended might even make it easier to keep the facilities from overflowing in the first place. Last I heard, Mexico as a country was 13th on the planet for Covid-19 cases. We got our own problems without adding their covid-19 problems.
