Now let’s consider all the other freebies this family has gotten. They are getting several hundred in food stamps - another $10,000 a year. Their kids get free breakfasts and lunches, for another $5,000 a year. They are getting the rent subsidized, equivalent to another $10,000 a year. They also get free health insurance, for another $12:000 a year.
That is the equivalent of almost $70,000 a year in welfare benefits - equivalent to the average income of a responsible family that works for a living!
