Unsurprisingly prices continue to go up. Trump wants people to celebrate 2.7% increases vs 3.0% increases in a world where he said prices would come down:

"We will lower energy bills by half" - Energy prices are up about 10%
"We will make homes more affordable" - Now he says he wants home prices to go up
"We will get gas prices under $2" - instead of delivering that he is celebrating 30 cents reductions

People have seen NO meaningful price reductions and affordability in their lives. I suspect this wont change.
