DeSantis' War on Farmworkers and Labor

Hispanic truckers are already refusing to do loads in Florida because of the new law. So who does DeSantis think is going to provide the labor?

"From farming to construction, the law is expected to have a wide-ranging impact on a number of industries vital to Florida's economy," said the report. "Some farm workers are already too scared to go to work and are considering leaving the state, which could cause a huge staffing crisis for Florida agriculture"

"Among other things, the bill institutes new state-level penalties for transporting undocumented immigrants to Florida, imposes new requirements on certain companies to check immigration status, and renders out-of-state driver's licenses issued to undocumented immigrants void in the state"

So being against illegal immigration is waging 'a war against farmworkers and labor'?!

Just ENFORCE our immigration policy once and see how that works. Then maybe we can start enforcing our other laws that don't seem to apply to politicians, the rich and connected.

If we need the workers, let them in. Do it legally where they get a legal wage protected by our wage laws.
There are professionals that get big bucks for advising companies how to get around the existing laws that require a company to certify that they did everything they could to hire a citizen before applying for immigrant labor. In other words, laws don't mean shit to these people. Slave labor does.

Use e-verify or get fined. As I understand it, that is the law.
