Dems party in Civil War....leadership, turns on Schumer

I’m feeling lazy. What is this Swiss solution you speak of?
Roughly speaking -- Everybody is required to have a Private Health Insurance Plan that meets certain standards. Who pays for it is irrelevant. The individual, the employer or sometimes the State. If a person can't afford to buy insurance, the State (Canton) buys it for them.

There are no free state-provided health services, but private health insurance is compulsory for all persons residing in Switzerland.

It's very simple. And very effective.

Our problem is, we can't require the States to do something they don't want to do. Federalism. It might take a Constitutional Amendment and even then...... Selective Incorporation only applies to The Bill of Rights.

Without a Constitutional Amendment, I believe we could still make it work. Money is the key. States that refused to use the system would have billions disallowed. They'd come around quick.

The biggest hang-up is that democrats don't want a working Health Care system, they want socialism. We could have had a Swiss-Type System decades and decades ago but dimocrap scum keep fighting it behind closed doors. And, like the DISGUSTING FILTH is going to report the truth? :auiqs.jpg: dimocrap scum don't want good Health Care, they want socialism..... WIth them in charge

Thanks for that.

I believe that solution is problematical though beyond just Federalism.

But it’s still worthy of discussion, here. The discussion may prove to be a hurdle.

Knives Are Out For Chuck Schumer After Democrats Cave On Shutdown

“Senator Schumer is no longer effective and should be replaced,” Rep. Ro Khanna (D-Calif.),

Rep. Mark Pocan (D-Wis.), the former chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, cited Schumer’s refusal to endorse incoming New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani as well as his handling of the shutdown fight.

“Don’t endorse or say who you voted for in NYC despite there being a Dem candidate,” Pocan wrote online. “Get Dem Senators to negotiate a terrible ‘deal’ that does nothing real about healthcare. Screw over a national political party.”

“Profile of scourge? Next,” Pocan added.

The Dem party has completely turned on Schumer and the party is in total meltdown. Some of these folks are at least admitting it's cause Schumer hasn't fully embraced their new Democrat Socialist views.
Why are they holding Schumer responsible?
What about the eight Senators?

This is stupid....

Cause he was the minority leader, that allowed the shutdown

As far as McConnell is concerned, he's through in any case. He's announced his retirement, that is if he doesn't drop dead in the Senate.
Oh ...he's still alive?

Democrats are angry that most Americans have rejected their party.

There is really only one substantive argument regarding the ACA.

That is its dismantling.
It isn't that easy when a self-serving and incompetent government has used the ACA to dismantle a working healthcare system and turn it into something that can't function at all without the irrational system that government forced on us.

To fix what they broke will require some careful restructuring to give everybody from doctors, hospitals, insurance companies etc. time to put together an effective system.

Why is nobody talking about substance? Everyone talks politics, infighting, and popular opinion, but nobody is looking at why extending the ACA subsidies is a MAJOR matter that deserves more attention than Democrats throwing a tantrum, demanding that they be continued without further discussion.

ACA has failed, which is why the subsidies seem necessary, but no one is looking at the fundamental changes that would resolve matters in a more rational way than just bribing taxpayers to be happy with their insurance premiums.

Where are the adults in the room? Is it Rand Paul?
Rand Paul could not give a shit about ACA. If you can't provide for your own healthcare, screw you! If you want something out of him, you are barking up the wrong tree.

Most of my friends back in KY will be out for his ass next election. He's a dead man walking if he doesn't wake the **** up and get on board. KY is one of those few states that could elect two new Democrats to the Senate because Paul and McConnell have turned traitor to the Republican cause.

What about Massie in the House? What's in the water or beer down there?

My daughter graduated Vandy, love the area.

Amy’s uncle had better be careful at any public speaking.

His constituents will murder when they disagree.

Rand Paul is not a Republican. He is a Libertarian (large L) which by definition is its own brand of tyranny by demanding its views be the law of the land and that law is more anarchy than it is Republican and resembles libertarianism (small "L") almost not at all.

Mitch is an old guard neocon Republican who deeply resents President Trump's success when his brand of Republicanism was ineffective in getting things done. He has sabotaged the President, both 45 and 47, pretty consistently.

15th post
The mainstream media has managed to keep a lid on the chaos in the democrat party but once in a while the real news gets out anyway.

Democrats have 'leaders'? Since when? Watching those fools eat their own is always entertaining though.

So, we agree. I hope the people of Kentucky wise up and shitcan Paul, find a replacement for both him and McConnell that are more MAGA Republican, and somebody can find a way to shut Massey's face!
