With the historic wins of President Trump and Republicans nationwide, it should be time for a little reflective soul-searching on the part of Democrats. The signs are not promising, to say the least.

Again, that entire campaign was demonizing Trump and his supporters, which is on point with the rest of the left. But while their claim that Trump is the existential threat is intellectually vacuous and morally reprehensible, a lot of people believe it.

This will be hard to watch and ugly to withstand in the coming years, but a little Democratic Party suicide would be a good thing, because what appears to be the base of the party has gone off the rails of reality.

Look at what's going on now, more than a week after the most decisive win in the past 20 years...

Instead of Democrats realizing that they have a problem, are doubling down on the hate. Doubling down on the fear...

Now, I am one that believes we need at least the two distinct parties to be rational and strong, maybe more than two...But, the absolute nuttery of progressive liberals was just rejected, and their answer? FU voters, we know better....OMG....the fail.... :eusa_doh:

To rehash and overstate the obvious....They wouldn't need to resort to any of this if they had something -ANYTHING- to be in favor of.
Well, of course, however, they have completely melted down....

In fighting, and coming apart...What's amazing is that they can't see that the progressive wing, which has taken over their party, is what is killing it....

They can't even see how calling their own voters names & reprimanding them has cost them votes & support.

Obama won with a far higher numbers than Trump this time in 2008. (16 years ago)

I believe Democrats are where they are now because Obama was not the person he claimed he would be to get those numbers.

Just one example. Obama promised Hispanics that if they supported him, one of the first things he would do was address immigration. He did very little in eight years. Hispanics are abandoning the Democrats over their failed promises.

The fuck he did.

Legal Hispanics detest illegals.....They went through all the legal hurdles.

Raw vote, numbnutz.

Obama was going to win no matter what, and the GOP knew it....That's why they trotted Juan "it's my turn" McQuisling out there as the sacrificial lamb.

How many votes did Lincoln get? You have to narrow it down to one number which gets larger with a growing number of people.

My point stands.

And got their ASSES handed to them in the 2010 midterms losing 63 house seats, a RECORD number, and 6 senate seats.

The well articulated half negro looked good on paper, but in retrospect, he was awful.

Normally, not a lot of things in the political sphere catch me off guard. Perks of being cynical and paranoid. But I was actually caught off guard by the reaction of a large number of Democrats to the election outcome. I was genuinely baffled to hear that...
1. A modest, but not insignificant number of them literally couldn't even conceive of the possibility of Trump winning. They literally couldn't actually imagine such a possibility. For them, Kemala had no chance at all of NOT winning.
2. When defeated, a significant number of them denied that there was anything wrong at all with the campaign they ran, and instead quite literally blamed the voters. In essence saying that voters were too stupid to see how great their campaign was.
Those two things actually did surprise me.

Because as i said, Obama was not the person he said he was.
