The system was set up that way because the Founding Fathers understood about people like you and wanted them kept out of power. That’s why the House represented the people, the Senate represented the states and the Electoral College was a hybrid of the two. Checks and balances to restrain the power of demagogues like Harris and Biden.

The funny thing is, the Founding Slave Rapists also wanted to keep the franchise restricted to only property-owning white men.

Good thing we evolved beyond them.

We should probably get rid of the Senate and Electoral College as relics of a bygone age.

Except Iowa is (or was) a swing state and California isn't, so it gets a lot more attention.

CA is where the candidates spend a lot of their time…for the donations.

It has been a swing state in recent elections, that's my point. That they are too far gone now is a sad commentary, but we are all going to regret Trump when he wrecks the economy.
