THOUGHTS FROM AN INDEPENDENT:
Dear Democrats - As you sit on your rumps watching MSNBC and CNN, getting your daily dose of spoon fed indignation about Donald Trump and wringing your hands over what he's just said or done, it should occur to you that you and your Democratic lawmakers are going about this all wrong. Trump and the GOP may have had some help from the Russians in 2016, but reliving the last general election and sniveling is not going to help your cause. There are a lot of things you can do - right now - that will:
* Reach out to homeless veterans, many would gladly do some domestic chores in exchange for shelter and a little food, get them registered to vote, and give them a ride to the polling location at election time.
* Democratic Lawmakers - Many of you that have law degrees should volunteer your time and provide free legal services, working within the system on behalf of undocumented workers and their children. You could do this when Congress is not in session.
* Donate a % of your income to help shooting victims with their medical bills, visit them or at least write to them...let them know who you are, and that you want to help.
* Volunteer for a neighborhood crime watch in high crime areas.
* Stop playing the race card...it's getting old.
* Reach out to those 47 percent of eligible voters that normally don't vote in your neighborhood, show them you're getting involved, and invite them along.
Actions speak louder than words Democrats, the list of things you can do to further your cause and gain votes is nearly endless, but it starts with turning off the TV and doing something, and if you're not going to, you deserve to get your butts kicked - again!
