Now that their "Danger to Democracy" slogan is wearing thin, the Dems are switching to Trump is "gambling with our future." This is just another pathetic attempt by them to regain relevance by trying to be on both sides of an issue at the same time. Just as they are defending men playing women's sports while acknowledging that it is "unfair," they are hedging their bets on Trump's tariffs, by accusing him of taking unnecessary risks with our economy.
The reason for this new tack is that the Dems are scared to death that these tariffs will be successful and voters will hold them accountable for opposing them. Instead, they are opposing Trump as an irresponsible gambler who, even if he hits the jackpot, is risk the the well-being of the American people for his personal aggrandizement. That way they hope to be able to claim they were only opposed to selected "harmful" tariffs rather than all of Trump's tariffs. What a duplicitous group of liars they represent.
