I don't think the democrats ever had the high ground on Immigration to begin with. But it's true IMHO that they lost ground on this issue with their current stance.
During WW2, the Germans and especially the Japanese had their factories bombed into rubble. They couldn't operate for very long before a shitload of Bombers turned them into scrap.
So they moved a great deal of their production into Cities, Towns and Villages. One house would make a carburetor, another would make an Oil Pump, another would assemble a generator.
And they'd have trucks running from house to house, pick up the parts and assemble the airplane/tank/engine/whatever somewhere.
The factories themselves, were usually very well protected because there were fewer now to guard. Lots of Anti-Aircraft Artillery. Lots. And they'd usually had a bunch of Fighter/Interceptors nearby.
So we started bombing their Cities. Was it cruel? HELL, yes. Was it necessary? Debatable.
But that was the road we went down and it worked.
Trump is taking strong action, using unbending, significant force in his quest to "Take Back America".
It is difficult. In some cases it is cruel.
It is also necessary.
We really are fighting a War for our Country. Yes, folks. dimocrap scum are
