When I am going on a trip, I charge to 100% at home, which yields an indicated 300 miles of range. At 70mph, mild temperatures, and generally levels terrain, that is about the range I experience. But of course one never depletes the battery and you recharge when it goes down to around 5%.
Honestly, it's not great for trips. For every 200-220 miles you spend half an hour charging up the car. NORMALLY, you can combine this charging time with a potty & snack break, but the need to charge increases travel time by about an hour per day of travel (daylight only). My "other" car is a ICE SUV, and that's what we use for long trips.
