There might be other clauses in the bill that require, out of principle, Dems to reject it. When you're saying that these illegal immigrants will be deported after committing the crimes mentioned, does that imply that they serve their time in prison? They serve 20, to 50 years in prison and then are deported. If not, then I could see how the Dems would reject this bill. I would want these criminals to go to prison, not get off scot-free by being deported back to their countries.
