One thing I have never understood is the term "Democrats (or Republicans) will run this person". For the most part, the party doesn't decide who is running, the individual candidates decide who is running or who is not. Then, the party hierarchy doesn't decide who wins and who loses, the primary voters do. This is my long way of saying that I don't think Kamala Harris will be the nominee for the reasons I just stated. And, yes, in 2024 the party hierarchy did decide to run Kamala Harris, not the voters.
