The filibuster was legal and now illegal, Senate make up your minds.

When was it ever illegal? it's just a parliamentary procedure they vote on..to use it or abolish it.

It's just a procedure the minority party can use to stop certain legislation from coming up for a vote or decision. Manchin's argument is that if they do away with it the democrats will regret it because if and when the republicans take back the majority they will be able to pass anything they want. I say...people deserve the government they voted for. If the majority party passes legislation the country feels is wrong then they can vote them out the next election. In other words to away with the filibuster.

The Constitution specifies that laws are passed with 50%+1. Filibusters—especially now that they only need to declare it—change that to 60%. It is expressly anti-Constitutional, and serves only to allow a minority party to stymie Congressional action. It needs to go.
