THE REPUBLICAN PARTY OF TODAY WAS THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY THEN.
Don't look at party name. Look at locations. Southern red Conservative Confederate slave states were Democratic until the early 1970s. Search "southern strategy" and shut the **** up.
Republicans today would not have ended slavery.
Has NOTHING to do with location ya dweeb. Try ATTITUDE. The Democrats of yesterday have inched toward Communusm, Totalitarianism...where they left a vacuum...as nature plays things out Nature abhors a vacuum...thus...the Repubicans move into the void...and act as Democrats of old.
And thus BOTH parties LOATH the TEA Party (meaning the People)...and BOTH are Hellbent on pursuing the NEW Slavery over ALL of us.
YOU need to leave politics son... YOU are sorely mal informed, and just plain STUPID.
The Tea Party does not represent The People. The Teabagger party is the racist right-wing psychotic fringe of the Republican party, made up of religious zealots who stubbornly cling to beliefs based on factual distortion, misinformation and outright lies. You were unleashed on the world by Karl Rove and the Republican establishment to stifle every move made by a black President but your stupidity is endless and your stubbornness knows no bounds. You are the least informed demographic in American society. Teabaggers are in fact so stupid that it cannot be explained to them just how wrong they are about everything.
Tell us all how Reagan would fix everything, you ******* muppet. Reagan was a senile war criminal who supported terrorists and genocide.
You're a little mixed up here, guy. The tea party, at its core, is simply about controlled government size and spending. There are members of the tea party that are religious zealots, but from what I've seen of self-described tea partiers that I've met personally, religious and Christian values aren't really tea party foundation planks. Simply controlled government, controlled spending.
As far as the tea party being a racist fringe, this shit needs to stop. As someone who neither identifies as a tea partier or a republican, I can't help but notice that the vast majority of these blanket accusations of racism from the left (which is kind of funny because racism is attributing an aspect to everyone of a demographic without acknowledging individual differences, and the left loves to say that an entire demographic, i.e. the tea party, shares that particular aspect, i.e. racism, with no regard for individual differences. Hypocrisy on an epic, poetic scale) are either unsubstantiated (as in your case) or completely overblown. It's an obvious smoke-screen: Call your political opponents racist whack jobs and you can pretend that it's logically justifiable to assume that everything they say is automatically drivel. Then you don't have to defeat the merits of their argument or prove those of your own. Intellectual cowardice.
Last thing, Chief. . . Really? Karl Rove?
Karl Rove is not only one of the biggest names on the republican establishment list, but he's exactly the kind of big government right winger that infuriates tea partiers and libertarians alike. He's also one of the biggest critics of the tea party in the republican party.
I think basically what you did here is take a couple of the most popular hyperbolic stereotypes that lefties throw at Republicans in general, threw in the name of an influential Republican that Democrats in the media really sink their teeth into demonizing, and haphazardly strung them out following the words, "The teabagger party is". You didn't write a political or philosophical argument so much as a full paragraph insult. ANd not a witty one. Just an unpleasant one.
