Judge Napolitano laid out a few dangerous aspects of NSA surveillance, but it was something Rand Paul said that connected it to why Democrats are so determined to call enemy combatants criminals rather than soldiers:

Paul said, “Imagine for a moment what information could be gathered from your Visa bill,” mentioning health information, political information, and personal information. “Are we so afraid of terrorists that we are willing to give up the very freedoms that separate us from them?” Paul asked.

Exclusive - Rand Paul: 'We Want Our Freedoms Back'

Rand Paul’s question “Are we so afraid of terrorists that we are willing to give up the very freedoms that separate us from them?” is a good question as far as it goes. It falls short in that Democrats worked at making Americans afraid of Muslims. It’s the fear born of frustration an individual would feel were he thrown in a boxing ring wearing a blindfold with his hands tied behind his back knowing that his opponent is armed with a machine gun —— then the referee instructs him to obey the Marquis of Queensberry Rules.

Socialists tried everything to transform America into a totalitarian state. They brainwashed generations of children; they exercised absolute control over the machinery of mass communications until the Internet weakened their grip; they implemented politically correct speech, they packed the courts with Communist judges; they created a huge parasite class by circulating the wealth through taxation, and much, much, more. None of it worked. It was the war started by Islam that gave the federal government the scare tactic it needed to make Americans so afraid of Muslims they will submit to anything.

The failures of the Great Society and the collapse of the Soviet Union changed incremental thinking. Time was running out; so Socialists concluded that if Americans would not willingly surrender their freedoms the government must take away individual liberties by force without triggering armed rebellion. Fear is the instrument they chose.

The method of choice is the same method used by Soviet Communists —— convert the government into an instrument of fear. Indeed, every totalitarian government survives on fear. Once Democrats made the decision to move away from a government that protected individual liberties, Americans had to be taught to fear their government. Notice that brainwashing Americans into embracing Socialism was an abject failure, while teaching fear does not require brainwashing. Everything Democrats do shows that fear of their government works on Americans as surely as individual Russians came to fear the Communists much more than they ever feared the czar’s government?

Admittedly, teaching Americans to fear Muslims to the point of not fighting back presented problems because Americans were a free people as opposed to Russians under the czar. No matter. Overcoming the difficulties took more time but it was doable. Socialists are almost there. If you doubt me ask yourself if you are afraid of the federal government? Only two types of American will answer NO:

1. Dead Americans.

2. Americans who truly believe that a benign totalitarian government is possible.

Looking back, I can see that Democrats in Congress must have immediately seen the attacks on 9-11-2001 as an opportunity to frighten Americans out of their freedoms. When Bush the Younger invaded Iraq without securing the UN’s final approval Democrats accelerated the policy of fearing Muslims. The very first step was to bring defeat to their own country in Iraq. Then-Senator Biden et al. appeared on talk show after talk show all but begging the enemy to hang on and win a political victory just as North Vietnam’s Communists had done in the Vietnam War. Biden became vice president and his stooge became secretary of defense. That’s a category of fear on a level all by itself.

NOTE: Liberals were sick that Bill Clinton was not president on 9-11-2001. If Clinton killing Christians in the Balkans to help Muslim terrorists is any guide one can only guess what he would have done to make Americans afraid of Muslims after 9-11-2001.

Next came the transformation from enemy combatant to criminal. Socialists decided that Muslims who killed Americans were criminals and had to be tried in criminal courts. Closing Gitmo was a promise of criminal trials. Not long after Barack Taqiyya got to the White House he redefined the language to support the policy. The policy expressed in this video led to defining the Fort Hood massacre as workplace violence:

I do not question Mr. Brooks’ sincerity, but he made the same mistake most Americans make. The strategy is to inculcate fear of Muslims in Americans —— not make Muslims love us by treating them nicely. Americans would be the better for it if the federal government concentrated on instilling fear in the people trying to kill them.

I think every American knows that they will get no help from the federal government when it comes to defending themselves. Refusing to acknowledge that America is at war against Islamic extremists is an extension of not being able to use necessary force defending yourself from traditional criminals. The local district attorney defines necessary. Example: If you shoot and kill a criminal that breaks into your home the D.A. can say he was a burglar, and death is not the penalty for burglary. Ergo, Muslims trying to convert you to Islam does not call for the death penalty.

Fear is compounded when there is little or no punishment for the criminal, or for the enemy combatant. No punishment contributes to increasing fear as much as does anything else. And please do not tell me that terrorists are punished. Punishing a miniscule number of terrorists does not address the tens of millions of Muslims who are active supporters of Islam’s war against America.

The fear that Socialists are drilling into society with their control of the government has to be defined differently for men and women. The fear that women must be feeling runs much deeper than the fear the government is instilling in men. A woman would have to be a fool not to realize that she will ultimately suffer the most when American men are so afraid of their government they will not defend themselves against an enemy that has sworn to kill them.

It’s hard to believe that UN-loving traitors did not cover all of the bases before now. Believe it. It took a traitor like John Kerry to open a new path to fear:

Diplomacy: Secretary of State John Kerry just scrapped 190 years of U.S. foreign policy in Latin America, casually declaring the Monroe Doctrine is over. Why didn't he just ring the dinner triangle for Russia, China, Iran and their terrorist catspaws to set up shop, too?

"President James Monroe," Kerry told the Organization of American States in Washington Monday, "declared that the United States would unilaterally, and as a matter of fact, act as the protector of the region... And throughout our nation's history, successive presidents have reinforced that doctrine and made a similar choice.

"Today, however, we have made a different choice. The era of the Monroe Doctrine is over," he declared.

Kerry is a sick man:

So, with the flip of a rubber-chicken dinner, thus ends the oldest, steadiest and most benign pillar in all U.S. foreign policy, the 1823 "Don't Tread On Us" policy that Old World powers were not to bring their feuds and battles to the Western Hemisphere, nor to meddle in the affairs of Latin America's fledgling democracies, most of which had just gained independence from Spain and Portugal and needed to develop in peace.

Socialist busybodies are all about interfering in foreign countries.

And somebody should explain to Kerry that the Monroe Doctrine was designed to protect the United States without meddling in the domestic affairs of foreign countries.

Somebody should also explain that America was the most respected country in the world when it did not meddle:

It was a good policy. Latin America's great liberators, such as Simon Bolivar who freed Venezuela, Colombia and Ecuador, and Jose San Martin, who freed Argentina, Chile and Peru, both embraced the U.S. with "extreme gratitude."

Incidentally, throughout the Bush years Joe Biden continually wailed about America’s lost respect in the world. I will not ask for extreme gratitude. I will ask big mouth Biden to explain how abandoning the Monroe Doctrine will bring back that lost respect he found so troubling.

Finally, the purge of military officers holding the wrong political views is designed to provide muscle for the policy of fear should it become necessary. Slowly but surely Americans are coming to fear the federal government using the military against them. Few Americans think in terms of posse comitatus, but they sure know that Barack Taqiyya & Company abolish every law that stands in their way. This one will be no different:

This reminder of Iran’s militarism puts scrapping the Monroe Doctrine in perspective:

With Iran building military bases all over Central and South America, Obama never bothered trying to make the case to the American people that they would be more secure with this regime in possession of the capacity to kill millions of Americans with one bomb.
