Former police officer, charged after Capitol insurrection, disputes call for rearrest

In a new document, defendant Thomas Robertson and his attorney, Mark Rollins, claim the government has not obtained any new information that supports detaining Robertson now.

"A former Rocky Mount police officer indicted on charges related to the January 6 attack on the Capitol has responded to a prosecutor’s call for his rearrest. Last week, new documents filed in the U.S. District Court in Washington D.C. revealed the results of an FBI search of the home of Thomas Robertson. According to the FBI, agents reported finding a loaded M4 rifle, ammunition and a partially assembled pipe bomb. While investigating his alleged involvement in the Capitol attack, FBI agents also said they found evidence Robertson has been buying and selling guns online.

Prosecutors claim Robertson violated the conditions of his release. They made a motion for the court to issue a warrant for his arrest, “The defendant’s possession of an explosive device and firearms, coupled with his extreme rhetoric advocating for violence indicating no remorse illustrate that the pending charges are unlikely to serve as a deterrent to future violence. For these reasons, the defendant should be detained.”

This is outrageous...first of all, they already searched his house earlier and they found weapons...but the judge was kind enough to give him a second chance....so why would these Nazi cops come back and search his house again?? This is harrassment. They also claim that him buying guns online is a violation...how? Just because he bought them doesn't mean he actually possesses them....Furthermore, this guy was a former cop who did explosives training; that partially assembled pipebomb was actually just a training prop....so why try to charge him for that?

On top of that; they are persecuting this guy for his thoughts?? Just because the guy said that peaceful protest is for suckers and how corrupt the FBI is -- and how the best way to protest is violence and "to play for all the marbles" -- why attack him for this thoughts? especially if he was right.....peaceful protests are for soyboy cucks...and the FBI is corrupt. The FBI allows BLM and ANTIFA to storm in and burn down every state capitol building in the country, and they don't get punished.... All of the rioters who were arrested should have their charges dropped.....however, we all know that the rioters were also ANTIFA and BLM....so it's complicated...

Your satire is tiring.... suffice it to say that anyone who builds a pipe bomb needs to be reigned in no matter who he claims to support..... The war they want will come soon enough....if they can't wait for it to happen through organized and controlled channels they're probably not worth having on anyone's side.
